Flowers: 6-12 campanulate, 25-40mm long, yellow, pale or bright yellow, sulphur-yellow or lemon-yellow.
April-May.
Leaves: elliptic, oblong-elliptic, ovate or sometimes oval, 40-100mm x 23-54mm, upper surface dark or pale green, glabrous, shiny; lower pale glaucous green, papillate, glabrous or minutely hairy.
Distribution: Sikkim, Nepal, Bhutan, Assam, S and SE Tibet. 2900-4300m.
Shrub 1-3.7m high.
